Aiir extend Community Radio Awards sponsorship until 2028

Broadcast Software company Aiir has extended its headline sponsorship of the Community Radio Awards until 2028.

With costs of delivering events continuing to rise, the support of Aiir will help organisers keep the cost of entry and ticket prices as low as possible, allowing everyone to be part of the process for years to come.

The awards, which first began in 2016, are independently run by a group of directors from inside and outside of the Community Radio sector, with each entry being judged by volunteers from across the Commercial, BBC and Academic sectors, alongside former Award winners.

Aiir, which offers state-of-the-art automation systems, audience interaction dashboards and metadata management, to the tools behind audience-facing websites, apps and more, has been championing the Community Radio Awards since 2020.

The renewal comes as the Community Radio Awards celebrate its 10th anniversary, with a date, location and categories for 2026 due to be announced in March.

A spokesperson for Aiir said “We're thrilled to be renewing our partnership with the Community Radio Awards, especially following Community Radio Week, which celebrates everything that makes the sector so special.”

“Community radio sits at the heart of local communities, and we're delighted to return as headline sponsors to help recognise the passion, creativity and commitment behind it. Our three-year commitment reflects our long-term support for the sector and the important work it does."
